HIGH CONSISTENCY SILICONE RUBBER / HCR

Solid silicone rubber.
QX series.

Translucent, pliable solid compounds with fumed-silica reinforcement. T, S and G series address transparency, designated food / medical applications and high tear resistance.

Material character
T: high transparency with a slight haze. S: enhanced clarity. G: high transparency and toughness.
Performance focus
Grade-specific minimum tensile strengths: 8.5 / 9.5 / 11.0 MPa. Minimum tear strengths: 18 / 22 / 25 kN/m.
Processing direction
Moulding / extrusion · peroxide cure system · 170–180°C · handbook cure time 5–8 min.

LIQUID SILICONE RUBBER / LSR

Liquid silicone rubber.
LSR series.

Transparent, highly viscous A/B compounds with fumed-silica reinforcement and a platinum-catalysed curing system for liquid injection moulding.

Material character
Viscosity at 25°C: T 150±20, S 160±20 and G 180±20 Pa·s.
Performance focus
Grade-specific minimum elongation: 600 / 550 / 450%. Minimum tear strengths: 20 / 28 / 35 kN/m.
Processing direction
A:B = 1:1 · platinum-catalysed · 120–150°C · moulding shrinkage 1.8–2.5%.
